Huis voor 2-5 personen in Volterra

My husband, our three daughters, and I spent a magical five days in Patrizia and Paolo's house. The house is absolutely charming and it was my favorite place I stayed not only in Tuscany but also Italy. It is an authentic feeling home, not a rental devoid of any true character. Upon our arrival, there was a beautiful basket of fresh fruit, homemade wine and vin santo plus biscotti. Even homemade olive oil which was delicious. The kitchen was well-appointed and we enjoyed many a beautiful sunset with wine and cheese on a lovely wooden cutting board. The outdoor spaces are perfect for eating, relaxing, or reading with exceptional views to the Tuscan hills. My daughters enjoyed the ability to roam outdoors and especially the fresh spring water spigot. Olive groves surround the house, it is very very relaxing and soul nourishing place. When we left the house we felt like we had made good friends and had made life long memories. I can only hope to return to this wonderful home again.
